After several months of testing with our end users, we’re excited to announce the release of Ocean Health Messenger! Health Messenger is a significant upgrade to our patient messaging experience that focuses on intuitive design and mobile accessibility. Ocean Health Messenger is our upgraded secure messaging experience designed to make interactions between clinics and patients more seamless than ever. With a sleek, mobile-friendly interface and new features, it transforms how patients engage with their healthcare providers.

Sleek, mobile-friendly interface

Recognizing that many patients access their health information on the go, we’ve redesigned the messaging experience from the ground up. The new interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, whether patients are using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Patient-to-clinic attachments

Patients can now securely send files directly through Ocean Health Messenger, thanks to our new attachment feature with built-in virus scanning. This opens up possibilities for clinics to receive documents like consent forms or photos relevant to care.

Enhanced functionality

  • Dedicated French-language toggle: To better serve our French-speaking patients, a simple toggle allows users to switch the interface to French effortlessly.
  • Improved form completion checks: We’ve added an array of checks and flags to help ensure patients complete all necessary forms, reducing follow-up and administrative workload.

  • Experience it first-hand: We encourage you to send yourself a test message to see what your patients will experience. This firsthand look will help you understand the new features and anticipate any questions your patients might have.
  • Update your templates: To ensure clear communication, please review and update your message templates. Remove any outdated instructions like “mark the message as read” or “click next,” which are no longer necessary in the new interface.
